Handwoven from natural Iraca palm in the artisan town of Usiacurí, the Cayena Placemat is a sculptural celebration of Colombian craftsmanship and organic design. Part of CasaLatina's Organic Shapes Capsule, alongside the Camelia and Hoja Palma designs, this distinctive placemat showcases the artistry and creativity that make Usiacurí weaving renowned around the world.

Inspired by the vibrant hibiscus flower found along Colombia's Caribbean coast, the Cayena Placemat features elegant petal-like curves that create a soft, organic silhouette. Each piece is carefully shaped over a traditional internal wire structure, a hallmark technique of Usiacurí artisans that provides both durability and graceful form.

Its compact size makes it particularly well suited to smaller dining tables, breakfast settings, coffee tables or intimate entertaining spaces. The natural Iraca fibres bring warmth and texture to the table, while the floral shape adds movement and visual interest without overwhelming the setting.

Designed by CasaLatina, the Cayena Placemat pairs beautifully with hand-painted ceramics, woven napkin rings and artisan tableware, creating a layered and considered tablescape that celebrates sustainable craftsmanship.
