Unlike a conventional plastic boot tray, its absorbent surface is made from recycled PET fibres, with a distinctive raised chevron pattern that helps capture dirt and water from shoes. The bi-level construction allows debris to settle into recessed channels, while a raised outer border helps keep moisture contained. An anti-slip rubber backing provides grip and helps protect the floor beneath.

The WaterHog Chevron Boot Tray Mat is made using durable recycled PET fibres with an anti-slip nitrile rubber backing.

Its innovative bi-level construction features raised fibres arranged in a distinctive chevron pattern. These help remove dirt from footwear, allowing mud, dust and moisture to collect in the recessed channels beneath the surface.

A raised outer border helps contain water and debris within the mat, while the rubber backing provides grip and a protective barrier between the absorbent fabric and the floor.

Suitable for most common flooring types, including tiles, hardwood, laminate, cork, screed, low-pile carpet and underfloor-heated floors.

Care & Cleaning

The WaterHog Chevron Boot Tray Mat is designed for straightforward cleaning and everyday maintenance.

  • Regular cleaning: Shake outside, sweep or vacuum to remove loose dirt, mud and debris.
  • Machine washing: Machine washable in a suitably sized washing machine. Remove loose debris before washing.
  • Hand washing: Rinse with cold water using a garden hose. Gently scrub stubborn areas with a soft brush and mild, non-bleach detergent.
  • Drying: Allow the mat to air dry completely, laid flat, before returning it to its usual position.
  • Avoid: Bleach, harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaning products.

Lift the mat periodically to clean and dry the floor underneath. Always ensure both the mat and floor are completely dry before replacing it.
