Materials & Construction

The WaterHog Gradient Doormat is manufactured from durable recycled PET fibres with an anti-slip nitrile rubber backing.

Its distinctive ribbed surface features raised fibres and recessed channels that help scrape dirt from footwear and capture moisture beneath the surface.

The bi-level construction helps prevent dirt and water from being carried further into the home, while the rubber backing provides grip and helps protect the floor underneath.

Suitable for most common flooring types, including tiles, hardwood, laminate, cork, screed, low-pile carpet and underfloor-heated floors.

For delicate or specialist flooring, check the flooring manufacturer's care recommendations before use.

Care & Cleaning

The WaterHog Gradient Doormat is designed for easy everyday care.

  • Regular cleaning: Shake outside, sweep or vacuum to remove loose dirt, dust and debris.
  • Machine washing: Machine washable in a suitably sized washing machine.
  • Hand washing: Rinse thoroughly with cold water using a garden hose. Gently scrub stubborn areas with a soft brush and mild, non-bleach detergent.
  • Drying: Allow the mat to air dry completely, laid flat, before returning it to its usual position.
  • Avoid: Bleach and harsh or abrasive cleaning products.

Lift the mat periodically to clean and dry the floor underneath. Ensure both the mat and floor are completely dry before replacing it.
